When do you have the most joy?
I wonder if you have heard people say “I’ll be happy when….”, “If only I ……….. then I would be happy”. I know I have been guilty of it in the past. However, one of the things I have come to realise over the years is that life is happening NOW. Not tomorrow – when we achieve that goal, lose 5kgs or have that better house, but now – right here, right now.
In order to find our when you are happiest and have the most joy, you might like to try this activity -
- Write down all of the things that you want or would like to achieve in your life.
- Write down all of the things that is happening in your life when you feel joy. For example – I am happiest when _______ is happening. You can identify a few things!
- Reflect on your list – what do you see? What are your insights?
