During the past couple of months, I have had a number of people comment to me about decisions I’ve recently made. Although, I found the conversations interesting, I walked away from with a greater sense of clarity and passion, deeply knowing I am on the right track.
Why?
Because, I am very clear about my own definition of success. How could I not be as I support women to create and experience their own definition of success within my business 🙂
So yes, when I am teaching action planning, I am also implementing it in my own life.
When I am coaching about remembering your own needs and looking after yourself. Then I am also doing that in my own life.
When I am writing about reclaiming your own power and BEing the leader of your own life. Then you better believe it as that is what I have been practising for the past few years.
In that spirit, I want to share a very specific example of how my own definition of success has supported me in challenging times.
Yes – this is a trick to creating your own life!
An Example from My Own Life
Whilst my business grows, I have been fortunate enough to combine my passion of teaching with my business – Habits for Wellbeing. Before the last school holidays, I asked for 3 days leave without pay so I could complete the Nia Blue Belt (as I love dancing and know it won’t be long until I start teaching my own classes).
As I have previously done when I requested leave, I spoke to the Principal and filled out the leave form. A couple of days later, I was told I wouldn’t be able to have 3 days leave without pay, I needed to have 6. I journaled and stayed with the process for a while and then chose to take the 6 days leave without pay.
Yes it was tough decision, however I am very clear on my definition of success and creating my own life. Yes it has taken work, however I am trusting myself more and more with what I am creating.
