3 of the Best Books on Mindfulness

Want to be reminded about what you already know deep within you? Or are you looking for some more information on mindfulness? Either way, the following five books on mindfulness all bring something unique to the table and will support you on your adventure of mindfulness.

3 of the Best Books on Mindfulness

1. Full Catastrophe Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This was my first introduction to the world of mindfulness as it was an introductory text for the 8-Week MBSR Course. It took at while for me to get through this book, however it really supported my understanding of mindfulness. If I had my time again, it would not have been my first choice of mindfulness text! I also recommend his other books – Coming to Our Senses and Wherever You Go, There You Are.

2. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. The title says it all really – the power of now or the present moment. I have read the book a couple of times and it also has a Practising the Power of Now book that was published afterwards and includes meditations, teachings and exercises from the Power of Now.

3. Peace Is Every Step – the Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life. Thich Nhat Hanh is one of the world leaders in mindfulness and the movement of peace. He has published over 100 books (70 in English) and in this book he shows how to make positive use of the situations that usually pressure and challenge us.

I encourage you to check out these books on mindfulness and put what you learn into practice in your life. It’s worth it!
