An athlete is a human being, not just an athlete. Each part of their life is intertwined with the other part. If one part is not working optimally, the other parts will be effected and injuries or burnout could result.

This coaching packages looks at 12 different parts of your life (your arena), so athletes can increase their self-awareness, manage their life, increase resilience and stay focused to perform at their best.

Professional athletes works extremely hard to reach their potential within their sport. Personal life coaching can assist them with their self-management, goal-setting, questioning limiting beliefs, untangling fear and other draining habits and increasing effective communication skills.

3-Month Coaching Package

1 x 90-Minute Discovery Session

To start your Life coaching adventure, you will receive one 90-Minute Discovery Session with Jane. This has been designed for you to decide what your focus will be to start with. In this session, we will discuss your goals, current challenges, explore where you are in all 12 areas of your life (not just your career) and your vision.

6 x 45-Minute Coaching Sessions

Each month, you will receive two 45-minute coaching sessions. The topic of each coaching session is up to you, however as a guide it could relate to a particular challenge you are having or enhancing your skills outside of sport.

Unlimited E-mail Support

During the time we are working together, you will have unlimited email access for any questions or concerns that come up in between our sessions.

The coaching and mentoring model I use when working with clients draws from the latest evidence-based coaching and educational research, intuitive eating, cognitive behavioural, self-compassion and mindfulness-based tools and techniques, which (simply) look at the connection between thoughts, emotions, and actions. The intention is to support you to discover proactive ways to solve challenges and untangle from dysfunctional, unhelpful thinking and behaviour.

What Is Life Coaching? +

The International Coach Federation (ICF) refers to coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential." Coaching recognises the client as the expert in their own world (life and work) and knows every person is creative, resourceful, and whole.

Basically the coaching process is about identifying where you are now, where you would like to be and then close that gap. The coach does this through -

  • discovering, clarifying, and aligning with where the client wants to be,
  • encouraging self-discovery and trust within themselves,
  • eliciting client-generated solutions and strategies,
  • keeping the client accountable and ensuring they are taking responsibility for themselves
  • providing support to the client.

At Habits for Wellbeing, we have completed a range of courses and certificates in a variety of skills and tools to support you to look holistically at your life (not just as an athlete). Subsequently, that is why I have chosen to focus on life coaching for athletes (and it can include non-diet-based nutrition as I am certified in that) as we are living systems and are made up of different moving parts.
