This course has been designed for you to learn the skills we need to meet life’s challenges with greater wisdom, compassion and kindness. The Short-Course in Mindful Self-Compassion will support participants to hold themselves with understanding and compassion when they most need it (i.e. when being challenged at work in relationships, feelings of inadequacy and/or not getting the results you hoped for).
Participants will learn key informal self-compassion practices, as well as brief practices in mindfulness right from home. The Short-Course in Mindful Self-Compassion is based on the 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion course created by Kriten Neff (PhD) and Christopher Germer (PhD) with permission.

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course is an innovative eight-week course which supports people to cultivate mental, physical and emotional resilience and well-being.
The 8-week MBSR Course uses mindfulness practice as the core to teach people how to take better care of themselves and live healthier, more adaptive lives. It has been forged from the integration of transformative Eastern mindfulness practices with contemporary Western scientific understandings of human functioning. This fusion has produced a tailored and verifiable method for treating a wide range of difficulties and enhancing performance and engagement in life and work.

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported 8-week course designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. MSC combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional wellbeing. The course was developed through the clinical expertise of Dr Chris Germer and Dr Kristin Neff, a pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion.
The three key components of self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Kindness opens our hearts to suffering, so we can give ourselves what we need. Common humanity opens us to our essential interrelatedness, so that we know we aren't alone. Mindfulness opens us to the present moment, so we can accept our experience with greater ease. Together they comprise a state of warm-hearted, connected presence.
