There's often confusion surrounding the difference between coaching, counselling, mentoring, and teaching, and the terminology can often get lost in translation.
Life coaching takes aspects from all of the above but is essentially a tool to help the coachee uncover their intentions, dreams, and aspirations, and take steps to move towards them.
Rather than telling someone what to do, when you choose to work with a life coach you'll be uncovering the answers and action steps together.
Is Life Coaching for you?
Now, I know you might be reading this and thinking ‘well, I'm a bit lost in life, but coaching is a bit extreme' and, trust me, I thought the same too.
After a particularly difficult time in my life where I was lost, lonely, and lacking clarity, I thought that engaging with a coach was a bit far-fetched too. But the reason coaching is not extreme, nor far-fetched, but in fact, an ideal solution, is because, regardless of your situation today, coaching will help alter your thought processes to help you look at things in a new light.
Coaching is about more than just having a chat, it's about identifying ways to understand yourself and implementing permanent changes in behaviour patterns to create an empowered and fulfilled life for yourself.
