Just recently, a few people have asked me for some links on getting help for people experiencing mental health challenges.
Subsequently, I decided to put a few links for help-seeking for mental health below.
Getting immediate help –
24 hours a day, 7 days a week…
- Australia – you can access Lifeline 131114 or click here to see their website, Mens Helpline 1300 789978 and click here for their website or KidsHelpLine (for young people 5-18 years of age) 1800 551800 or click here to visit their website.
- If you are in another country – click here to visit befrienders.org, which gives an overview of other helplines across the world.
Other relevant links –
- Click here to access beyondblue‘s directory of Medical and Allied Health Practitioners in Mental Health
- The MoodGYM Training Program is a website linked to the Australian National University where people can learn cognitive behaviour therapy skills for the preventing and coping with depression. Click here to access the website.
