You Are Not Broken and You Don’t Need Fixing!

One of the beliefs that I have struggled to untangle from over the years is the belief that I was broken and needed fixing. I can see very clearly where this belief formed, however knowing that and then untangling from it were two entirely different processes. Some days I still get hooked by that belief (however I am progressing) 🙂

Today I found this song – “No, You’re Not Broken” by Gene Parsons and Meridian Green I love it, so much so that I purchased it and have already listened to it five times on my computer. I am going to listen to it more as a reminder when I have those challenging days and that sneaky belief comes back in.

Subsequently, I wanted to share it with you the lyrics to the songs, so you can start to remember that you are not broken and you don’t need fixing.

No, You’re Not Broken – Song by Gene Parsons and Meridian Green

“You’ve got bets on every number
The wheel is set to spin
You still won’t let the game get started
You’ll never lose but you’ll never win
No you’re not broken no you’re not broken
You’re only stumbling around
No you’re not broken no you’re not broken
You’re only hurting and proud
Climbing down mountains you made out of molehills Down to the chasm below
Till you cop to the fact that you’re hurting You’ll never cry but you’ll never know
No you’re not broken no you’re not broken
You’re only stumbling around
No you’re not broken no you’re not broken
You’re only hurting and proud
Count dancing angels on the head of a pin
Never asking why
Answers before you, you cannot see
You’re blind with tears in your eyes
No you’re not broken no you’re not broken
You’re only stumbling around
No you’re not broken no you’re not broken
You’re only hurting and proud.”
