Your Story Matters (and So Do YOU!)

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy – the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

~ Brené Brown

We oscillate between the light and the dark as with the stories we tell ourselves.

You are not your story and I am also not mine. No, I am not the “not good enough” story, the “I don’t matter” story, the “not worthy” story or the other stories I continue to see through. And neither are you!

However, I am grateful for each of these stories (now)…

Why? Because these stories and the associated challenges have enabled me to learn the lessons I have needed to learn by developing self-awareness, taking care of and trusting myself.

However, possibly the greatest gift my own life adventure has given me is the gift to be able to support other people unravel their own stories they tell themselves. The stories of self-doubt, fear, unworthinessimposter syndrome. overcommitment and approval addiction. To authentically show up and be seen by being courageous and vulnerable. I hold these stories very close to my heart

Why? Because your story matters and so do you. By you sharing your story with your heart a connection is created. This connection creates strength.

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”

~ Brené Brown

Your Story Matters (and So Do YOU!)

Yes, we have a mix of the light and the shadow. Each day we can choose to take steps towards our greatness and leaving the legacy we dream about. We can also make mistakes, feel vulnerable and be challenged by our fears and circumstances.

I know how transforming and healing these challenges can be when you have someone on your side. Someone who is willing to hold space for you with their heart and allow to be seen with your story, accept your experience and believe in you when you have trouble believing in yourself.

I know that, because of the number of people who have done that for me with my own stories that I have told myself and that is what I want for you. Because your story matters (even though they are not the true you) and so do YOU!
